‘Get Involved Week’ continues

This week Student involvement is sponsoring a series of activities each day in the CUB.

Students can learn ways to become a part of co-curricular activities during Get Involved Week.

The event is sponsored by Student Involvement. It started Monday and will end Friday, according to a Student Involvement press release.

Each day this week, a series of activities will be held in the Compton Union Building from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., according to the press release. Students can also “like” WSU’s Student Involvement page on Facebook for a chance to win a free iPad. The week started with free cake and a God’s Harmony Gospel Choir performance Monday. The ASWSU Involvement Fair will be held in the CUB Lair Tuesday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Wednesday’s events feature peanut butter and jelly sandwiches in the CUB Lair sponsored by the PB&J Club along with Student Involvement, according to the press release. The Department Involvement Fair will also be in the Lair.

The Student Organization Fair in the Lair on Thursday provides an opportunity for students to learn about various clubs on campus. The Student Entertainment Board (SEB) is sponsoring the Last Coug Standing competition at 6 p.m. in the CUB Auditorium. A professional comedian will host the event, according to the SEB website.

According to the press release, students interested in Greek Life can learn more at the Fraternity and Sorority Fair Friday, also from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Lair. The SEB will screen the movie “The Social Network” in the CUB Auditorium at 6 p.m. and 9 p.m. The Residence Hall Association (RHA) is hosting Mr. and Ms. Washington State in Todd Auditorium at 7 p.m. Students wishing to compete can sign up at rha.wsu.edu. Competitors will compete in categories such as lip sync, Cougar catwalk, a formal dress question session and a secret event revealed at the show, according to the RHA website.
